Parent session follows sexting incident
School District 73, along with the Kamloops RCMP, are inviting parents to attend an important social media information session following the recent investigation by police into inappropriate material shared among students.
According to a representative for the School District, the session will touch on new trends in social media technology and the safe, smart and ethical use of that technology by children and teens.
The event will take place on Monday Jan. 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the South Kamloops Secondary School gymnasium with guest speaker, Jesse Miller of Mediated Reality.
Seating will take place on a first come first serve basis.
