Picture the Okanagan

My name is Mathieu Warnet-Pelletier, I’m 28 years old, born & raised in Rouyn-Noranda, which is located in Northern Quebec. I also lived in New Brunswick & Ontario, before making the big move to Peachland a year and a half ago. I enjoy biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing, zip lining and photography. I consider myself as a semi-professional photographer. I got my first camera at age 16, and instantly found a real passion for it. Recently, I was published in the 2012 Peachland Visitor's Guide, as well as making the front cover of a French magazine back in September, and having some of my pictures being used in a TV commercial.

In this column, I am pleased to present you the events I attend, as well as showing you the best of the Okanagan. Last week I went on Knox Mountain for the first time and enjoyed walking in the trails. People were friendly and relaxed and what a view from the top; it was amazing to see the landscape offered all around! The sun made a brief appearance leaving Kelowna, on the calm waters of the lake.
