In less than a week, The Seniors Outreach & Resource Center is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving. #GivingTuesday kicks off the holiday giving season and inspires people to give back in impactful ways to the charitable organizations and causes they support. 
 
We’ve partnered with GIVE65, a program of the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation of Canada and the first crowd-fundraising platform exclusively devoted to helping registered charities raise money online for programs and services that create hope for seniors in Canada. And in the spirit of giving, $25,000 raised on GIVE65.ca will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000 per organization. We have the potential to double our fundraising efforts up to $5,000, but only while matching funds are still available!
 
So we’re encouraging you to give as early as you can. The funds raised on GIVE65 will help us help seniors this Christmas season. It will provide our Outreach Navigator Program with the means to  get our social worker in the homes of seniors who cannot go out and get the help they need themselves due to age related changes.
 
Giving starts at 10 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Monday, Nov. 26, at  https://www.give65.ca/outreachnavigator and it concludes at 10 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Tuesday, Nov. 27. You can also learn more about our fundraising efforts and how your gift will make a difference in the lives of seniors in our community on our GIVE65 giving page.
