In recognition of the Christmas holiday season, the Kelowna Women’s Shelter Thrift Store will be closed from December 25th through January 1st.
Donations will not be accepted during the closure as there will be no staff or volunteers available to process them. Please do not leave donations at the door, nor bring them to the Shelter itself, which is designed to be a confidential, safe location.
The Store will reopen for the New Year on January 2nd with a Boxing Week blowout sale that will see everything in the store priced at 50 per cent off.
The Thrift Store is located at #6 – 368 Industrial Avenue and is open Monday through Saturday, from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Proceeds from the Store support the Kelowna Women’s Shelter, which provides emergency and transitional housing, counseling and other support and education programs for women and their children who have experienced intimate partner violence and abuse.
The store also provides vouchers so Kelowna Women’s Shelter clients, and others in need across the community, can shop free.
