Walk for Water a success

July 8th saw 684 people join together for a common goal - to raise awareness and funds to provide water for some of the worlds most vulnerable children.  World Vision Canada brought its 6K Water Walk concept to Kelowna and it was embraced by this goal crushing 684 plus the over 400 that joined later in the day for the Dean Brody concert.  

Participants included individuals, corporate teams and teams from the faith community, proving that our community is made of individuals who care.  

The goals of World Vision Canada was 500 participants and $250,000 raised and under the banner of Love Can Kelowna and the motto of Love Can change the world, these groups and individuals raised $264,000 by the end of the event Saturday to assist with the efforts of World Vision Canada as it relates to water initiatives in developing countries.
