$45K to Boys and Girls Club

A generous donation of $45,000 from the Central Okanagan Foundation will help Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs (OBGC) deliver vital programs and services to assist at-risk youth in our community. The multi-year donation will provide urgently needed funding to support OBGC’s Youth Centre/Shelter Program at 1633 Richter Street in Kelowna, where youth aged 13-18 years who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, can receive emergency shelter and support services.

According to Diane Entwistle, CEO, "This grant from The Central Okanagan Foundation is critical in supporting the work we do at our Downtown Youth Centre/Shelter. The funds will be used to support delivery of a coordinated series of cross-related, progressive services designed to help at-risk youth to move toward life of success and independence. We sincerely appreciate the support of The Central Okanagan Foundation in our work.”

The Central Okanagan Foundation is a community foundation providing an ongoing contribution to the quality of life in our community through building endowments, grant making and community leadership. We bring donors together to provide for the needs of the community today, tomorrow and forever.

Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs is extremely grateful to the Central Okanagan Foundation for its generosity and commitment to helping at-risk youth in our community.
