Club helps Variety telethon

The Kelowna Canadian Italian club recently held its annual Valentine's dinner and dance. Every year at the event, the club holds a raffle with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the Variety telethon. The club has been doing this for 38 years.

Pictured above are, from left, Peter Chipman, director of planned giving/major gifts for the Variety Club telethon, who was present at the event to accept the donation, Joe Iafrancesco, president of the Kelowna Canadian Italian Club, and Sophia Russo, Miss Kelowna Canadian Italian club.

This year, $1,000 was donated to the telethon.
