Spring/summer 2011 fashion directions

A new year begins, and we transition into spring/summer 2011 fashion collections. The old is cleared out, and the new starts arriving into the stores. Fashion is never an obvious change over, it evolves with each season, so within a couple of years, we are looking at something completely different to adorn ourselves with. It takes direction, and starts its journey. The runway directions this year are:

Direction 1

  • ASPIRE

    A fusion of traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary international culture.

    Key words: Sumptuous textiles, sleek shapes, zesty lime, steely blue, sharp coral. Lightweight, chiffon, lace & buttons, high-waisted, cropped, harems, pleated and pin-tucked.

    Direction 2

  • UNITY

    Keywords: Military glam, asymmetrical, cargo pockets, shirt dress, tea party, drop waist, drop crotch, button details, khaki

    Direction 3

  • ESPIAL

    Keywords: Maxi dress, cut out shoulders, embellishment, flowy chiffon, harem, cinch waist, layering
