Kat Von D selling gothic mansion for $2.5m

Kat Von D has put her gothic mansion on the market for $2.5 million.

The raven-haired tattoo artist - who is currently engaged to progressive-house music producer Deadmau5 - is selling her 4,148 square feet Hollywood Hills home, which boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a separate guest house, realtor Trulia reports.

Built in the 1920s, the Spanish-style property has had a Dracula-style make over since Kat, 31, moved in, with the living room featuring red and purple velvet-upholstered chairs, various paintings of ghostly faces and melted candles from which wax has spread and hardened onto the floor.

In the gold wall-papered dining room rests a dark-wooden table with tall chairs and a black chandelier hanging from the ceiling, creating a centrepiece for the furniture.

Despite the unique taste of décor, Jamie Sher of The Sher Group - an independent Registered Investment Advisor - insists it only draws more attention to the property, especially with a traditional chef's kitchen, a barbeque and fire pit in the garden, a spa and a retractable projection screen waiting for the new owners.

Jamie said: "The fact she's put her spin on it only helps. It's got an incredible vibe and it shows really strong. It's beautiful. It's likely to sell to another creative type."

"It's one of the few [1920s Spanish homes] that has not been bastardized. A lot of classic design elements have been kept intact."
