Rachel McAdams is in talks to star alongside Bradley Cooper in a new romantic comedy.
The 'To The Wonder' actress is nearing a deal to join the A-list cast of Cameron Crowe's forthcoming movie, which has already attracted the likes of the 'Silver Linings Playbook' actor and 'The Amazing Spider-Man' star Emma Stone, reports Deadline.
The movie is thought to centre on a defence contractor (Cooper) who is overseeing a missile launch and ends up falling in love with an Air Force pilot (Stone) he is working with.
McAdams is in negotiations to play Cooper's ex-girlfriend.
The rom-com is said to be similar in tone to Crowe's previous films, 'Jerry Maguire' and 'Almost Famous'. As well as directing, the filmmaker also wrote the movie's script.
The untitled project is due to begin shooting in October.
McAdams will next be seen in Richard Curtis' time travel comedy, 'About Time', while Stone is currently filming the sequel to last year's hit Spider-Man film alongside Andrew Garfield, Shailene Woodley and Sally Field.
Cooper, who recently earned his first Best Actor nomination at the Academy Awards for his role in 'Silver Linings Playbook', will next be seen in 'The Hangover Part III', the final installment in the comedy franchise.
