West Kelowna movie seeking actors

If you have an acting background producers of a movie being shot in West Kelowna are looking for you.

The movie, 'A Mother's Nightmare' is scheduled to film in West Kelowna from May 28 to June 16.

It's a made-for-TV production for Lifetime TV in the US.

Casting Director, Deb Green, says she is looking to cast seven parts. A casting call is scheduled for this Friday.

Green says seven specific parts are being cast. These include:

  • Doctor. 55 to 60 years of age. Any ethnicity. Has one scene
  • Young girl, 5 to 6 years of age. Dark hair and small. No acting required
  • Lew - Tough street kid, 19 to 21 years of age. Some scenes, experience required.
  • Male Social Worker, 45 to 50 years of age. Must have visible ethnicity
  • Jessica. Early 40's and weather beaten. Has a scene with the lead actor. Fairly good experience required

Green says the final two roles being cast require the actors to have a similar look to Grant Guston, the star of the movie.

Those two roles are for men 18 to 22 years of age.

Anyone interested in trying out for one of the parts is asked to email Deb Green at [email protected].
