Julia Roberts On Bed Rest

JULIA ROBERTS, who's due to deliver twins in January, was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital Saturday. The Oscar winner's husband, DANNY MODER, took her to an undisclosed hospital where she was hooked up to a fetal monitor after experiencing early contractions. They eventually stopped and the 36-year-old actress hosted an impromptu bedside baby shower the next day. While Julia's condition isn't serious, doctors are keeping an eye on her and have advised her to stay in bed until she gives birth. In the meantime, she has two movies coming out in December -- the romantic comedy/drama Closer and Ocean's Twelve with Bradd Pitt and George Cooney.

The show will air January 9th on CBS-TV. Sarah received a nomination for Favorite Female Singer -- but she's not someone you see out and about all the time at awards shows, or in the pages of US Weekly magazine. Sarah says she likes her privacy. Nominations for the People’s Choice Awards came out yesterday. “Desperate Housewives” was nominated for Best New TV Drama.
