New Sitcom Won't Work

The original Gilligan doesn't think a new reality television show based on his classic sitcom will work well. '"Gilligan's Island' is one show that they've never tried to copy. They couldn't satirize it, because we had done so much of that, too. So producers just left it alone. I really don't think this show is going to work," Bob Denver, who played Gilligan on the original "Gilligan's Island," said. "The Real Gilligan's Island," set to debut on TBS in November, will feature seven castaways: a real-life skipper, a first mate, a millionaire couple, a movie star, a professor and an innocent farm girl. The show will pit them against the elements to see if they can devise a way to get off the island. The castaways will even relive some of the bizarre scenarios from the original series.

Christina Aguilera is apparently not a fave for waiters. She reportedly hid under a fedora while she ate with her boyfriend, last week at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami and apparently she's not much of a tipper. She and pals ordered up $300 worth of food to the hotel pool early Monday morning - but only left $12.

Prompted by a report on NBC's "Dateline," Michael Jackson has acknowledged he has reached financial settlements with accusers in the past to avoid the embarrassment of going to court. However, Michael added he would never harm a child. The "Dateline" story said Michael paid $2 million to the son of an employee at his Neverland Ranch in 1990 to avoid a child-molestation accusation.

Britain's "Sunday Mirror" reports that Elizabeth Taylor is suffering from Parkinson's disease and senile dementia and is becoming increasingly confused. They say Liz spends hours watching old movies starring former husband Richard Burton and talks about him as if he is still alive.
