Julio Iglesias reportedly told his manager not to deny he had slept with 3,000 women in a new biography.

In Julio. La Biografía, which will be published in Spanish on Thursday, author Oscar Garcia Blesa offers up a glimpse of the private singer from months of research and Iglesias, it appears, won't be challenging any of the stories, especially those that link to his love life.

The tome chronicles the Begin The Beguine singer's relationship with fame and his private life, and studies reports he bedded 3,000 women.

Garcia Blesa, who wrote the bestselling unauthorized biography of Alejandro Sanz, writes: "My admiration for Julio, his artistic achievements and his kaleidoscopic personality have been the fundamental reasons that drove me to write the book.

"(I wanted to present) a new look at the man and the character, someone who everyone in the world knows, but who, like any human being, has dirt that has not been dished."

Julio. La Biografía is being released to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Iglesias' debut album, Yo Canto.
