Justin Bieber and his model fiancee Hailey Baldwin have sparked rumors suggesting they're husband and wife after the pair was spotted visiting the marriage licence courthouse in New York City on Thursday.

The loved-up stars became engaged in July, and now it appears they may have skipped a formal wedding and exchanged vows behind closed doors.

TMZ has obtained photos of the couple walking into the Marriage Bureau at the City Clerk's Office in the Big Apple, and eyewitnesses have noted Bieber and his 'bride' dropped several hints they were married during their visit.

"I can't wait to marry you, baby," the onlookers reportedly overheard Sorry singer Justin telling Hailey as he broke down in tears.

The 24-year-old Canadian pop star also allegedly chatted with a court official and told the government representative, "Thanks for keeping it on the DL (down low)."

Another eyewitness told the outlet they overheard the couple planning to jet out of the country, pointing to a possible last-minute honeymoon.

Hailey and Justin became engaged during a romantic vacation to the Bahamas this summer and confirmed the exciting news on Instagram two days later.

"Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you! (sic)" Justin gushed to his followers.

The What Do You Mean? singer proposed to the 21-year-old model just two months after they rekindled their 2015 romance.

In a recent interview with Australia's Stellar magazine, Hailey admitted she was "beyond excited" about her wedding, but didn't share any details.
