Lindsey Lohan Swipes 'Jeannie' From Jessica Simpson-- So much for Jessica Simpson picking up where Barbara Eden blinked off. Word has it Lindsey Lohan has been cast in the big screen version of I Dream Of Jeannie. Lohan says (to Empire Online) that she's in talks to star as Jeannie but, first, she has to get through another remake. Lohan will star with Herbie, The Love Bug, in an updated version of the kid comedy classic and is already taking driving lessons for her role as a 20-year-old race car driver.

The management company that represents Britney Spears and 'N Sync wants to create a Christian version of American Idol. Titled, Gifted, the series is scheduled to debut in October on Trinity Broadcasting Network. The Folks behind it say, "It is our goal to wrap God's message -- His love -- in acceptance, and in a way that blends seamlessly into pop' culture while still upholding the values we, as Christians, value most,"

Paul McCartney chalked up his 3,000th live performance, last night in front of 50,000 fans in St Petersburg, Russia. He was recently quoted, "I was amazed when people told me I'll do my 3,000th gig on this tour. That's an awful lot of late nights, but I still love doing it."

Quentin Tarantino said Monday he plans to shoot a third part of the "Kill Bill" vengeance series. "I have plans, actually not right away, but like in 15 years from now, I'll do a third version of this saga," the director said at a news conference. Tarantino said part three would focus on the daughter of a hired killer that Uma Thurman's character bumps off early in her revenge spree.

Janet Jackson has launched a blistering attack on pop hunk Justin Timberlake for acquiring a "cocky" attitude following their controversial super bowl performance. She, is still upset with Timberlake over his response to their collaboration in February in which she flashed a nipple - and she believes he is being led by his ego. She says, "Justin's changed. He's gotten cocky. "Some people can handle success and some can't. "I'm wondering if the latter is the case with Justin."
