Dodgeball Tops At Box Office

Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn bounced Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg right out of the competition at the box office this weekend. Stiller and Vaughn's Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story debuted as the weekend's top movie raking in 30-million dollars. Hanks and Spielberg's The Terminal was a far second with 18.7-million dollars. 3. Harry Potter - 17.4-million 4. Shrek 2 - 13.6-million 5. Garfield: The Movie - 11-million

Actress Winona Ryder has gained a little privacy since last Friday when her shoplifting felony convictions were reduced to misdemeanors, allowing her to finish her probation unsupervised. Superior Court Judge Elden Fox reduced the Reality Bites star's convictions but also warned that she would be sent to jail if she breaks the law before the end of her probation in December 2005.

American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino is moving into diva territory –we hear, she's dropped her last name and will now be known as just Fantasia. Will she end up as famous and successful as Madonna, Beyonce, Jewel, Cher, Dido and other one-named female stars? We'll see when her first single is released this Tuesday.

U2 frontman Bono may be on track for a sainthood, but even he isn't above breaking the law at times. Earlier this year, Ireland instituted a ban on smoking inside pubs, clubs and eateries - and Bono just got busted for smoking a cigarette in a restaurant. In fact, it was the restaurant inside the Clarence Hotel in Dublin, which he happens to own. Bono says he was reminded of the ban by staff, and quickly apologized. He added, quote, "And I apologize now."
