KAG call for submissions

The Kelowna Art Gallery is pleased to announce that applications for their community arts space are now being accepted. The selected proposal will be offered an exhibition in The Front project space of the Gallery, from June 30 to September 9, 2018, and will be eligible for project funding.
 
The Front project space is an exhibition space that celebrates collaboration with community organizations and strives to engage diverse audiences. Applications from cultural and community organizations, collectives, artists, curators, performers, designers, makers, and others are welcomed. Applicants may wish to complement their project with community programming, such as workshops, public talks, film screenings, outreach initiatives–or any number of possibilities.
 
Applicants are asked to demonstrate experience and interest in one or more of the following fields: Community-based art, Creative education, Socially-engaged work, Equity and inclusive environments, Arts and crafts, Storytelling, Social and environmental justice, or Visual and/or performing arts.
 
The deadline for applications is April 15, 2018 at 11:59 PST.

The Kelowna Art Gallery offers four exhibition spaces that show changing contemporary and historical Canadian art, and is located at 1315 Water Street in the heart of the Cultural District in downtown Kelowna.
 
The mission of the Kelowna Art Gallery is to engage, inspire, and enrich the greater community through the exhibition, collection, and interpretation of visual art.
