You have to go Down Under to find the top woman. Miss Australia JENNIFER HAWKINS is the new Miss Universe, winning the title last night in from Ecuador. The 20-year-old choreographer edged a field of 80 women for the crown. Miss USA, was the runner-up and Miss Puerto Rico took third.

Yesterday, a judge in the Dominican Republic approved MARC ANTHONY's divorce from his wife DAYANARA TORRES. However, the divorce now has to go through various other officials, including the U.S. Embassy, before it's final. Marc traveled to the Dominican Republic to legally end the marriage because the country gives foreigners quickie divorces. MARIAH CAREY got a divorce there, and so did DIANA ROSS. Will this open the door for the rumoured engagement to Jlo?

PENELOPE CRUZ doesn't seem to be reeling from her split with TOM CRUISE. According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, the actress has wasted no time cruising straight into the arms of another hunky actor -- MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY. The pair were spotted kissing while at a Gomez concert in London last Thursday. It's been suspected that there was a love connection between the two ever since McConaughey jetted to Madrid to attend the Spanish beauty's 30th birthday party last month.

MARTHA STEWART hopes to prove she's cleaning up her act by teaching others how to clean up their homes. We hear that in an effort to reduce her jail sentence, attorneys representing the lifestyle queen have proposed that she teach low-income women entrepreneurial and household skills for 10 to 20 hours each week for the next few years. Stewart is scheduled to be sentenced June 17th and faces up to 16 months behind bars.

SARAH MCLACHLAN has created an "Artist's Choice" CD exclusively for Starbucks. The Artist's Choice program invites a well-known musician to compile an album of songs by his or her favorite artists. Among the artists Sarah chose are PETER GABRIEL, CAT STEVENS, WILLIE NELSON, THE INDIGO GIRLS and R.E.M. This fall, ELTON JOHN will compile an Artist's Choice CD for the coffee chain.
