Stop following Goulding

Ellie Goulding has told fans she doesn't appreciate them following her when she's off-duty.

The Burn singer took to Twitter on Wednesday (05Oct16) to inform her fans they would be better off coming up to her and getting to know her face-to-face rather than covertly walk behind her while she is running errands.

"I really don't like being followed secretly when I'm out and about... no one should get followed like that unknowingly," she tweeted. "I'd feel way more comfortable if you approached me to begin with, as you can understand."

The isn't the first time the popstar, who is currently on tour in Australia, has addressed bad fan behavior. In May (16) she told one user on Twitter not to bother coming to her concert after he took issue with her making political statements.

She wrote, "Donald Trump continues to say that climate change is a 'hoax', and that he would scrap the Paris agreement. Just putting that out there" and one fan replied, "Don't stick your nose into politics and make me not want to go to your concert in June."

Ellie didn't seem particularly saddened by the loss of a concertgoer, and responded: "Don't come please."

After performing in Brisbane, Australia on Wednesday night (05Oct), Ellie has two more concerts left on the Australia leg of her tour, which concludes on Saturday (08Oct16). She cancelled two shows, one in Adelaide and another in Perth, due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts.

The pop star only returned to the stage at the end of July (16) after taking time off on doctors orders as she was suffering from exhaustion, and she recently opened up to Britain's Stylist magazine about how bad it was.

"I was diagnosed with exhaustion a couple of months back, but it's only now that I realize how bad it really was," she said. "When I think back to my tiredness, my slump, not wanting to exercise and not being interested in anything... It wasn't depression, it was just my body giving up."
