Ballet Kelowna's new home

Ballet Kelowna is moving into a new home. Artistic Director and CEO Simone Orlando is thrilled about the new space and the endless possibilities that it will present for the future of Ballet Kelowna.

Orlando is eager to see the completion of the studio and facility and welcome community members to become a part of the growing organization.

“The new studio will be equipped with a state-of-the-art sprung dance floor which will provide an optimal environment for our professional dancers to train and rehearse,” said Orlando. “Our new facility will also serve as a movement centre for the community to engage in classes and events hosted by Ballet Kelowna.”

Since 2003, Ballet Kelowna has been housed at The Canadian School of Ballet. With the growth of both organizations, Ballet Kelowna will remain on Leckie Road just a few doors away from its original home.

The large studio at 2283 Leckie Road will allow Ballet Kelowna to offer private viewings of rehearsals, sneak previews of performances, unique dance training opportunities, and outreach programs.

Support from an anonymous donor jump-started the Company’s move into the new home. Ballet Kelowna will continue to fundraise to pay for equipment and improvements needed for the studio.

“This year we have incredible programs lined up and our new home will allow us to bring our performances to a new level,” said Orlando. “I believe this is a positive step for Ballet Kelowna and we look forward to welcoming our supporters and the community into our new home.”
