Justin Timberlake's unborn baby is his "greatest creation".
The 'Mirrors' hitmaker paid tribute to his "best friend and favourite collaborator", pregnant wife Jessica Biel, as he accepted the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards yesterday (03.29.15) and told the audience at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium he is preparing for the next phase of his life.
He said: "You can't have innovation without creations, so finally I want to thank my best friend, my favourite collaborator, my wife Jessica at home who's watching.
"Honey, I can't wait to see our greatest creation yet. Don't worry, daddy's headed home right now to innovate by learning how to change a poopy diaper and get my swaddle on."
Before he accepted the prize from designer Tom Ford, a tribute video featuring the likes of Timbaland, Jimmy Fallon and Taylor Swift played, which the 34-year-old singer admitted "blew his mind".
He said: "That blew my mind. Everyone who was in that, I love you too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
As well as praising Jessica, the former *NSYNC star also thanked his mother, Lynn Harless, for encouraging him to embrace his "difference" to be a success.
He said: "Growing up in school, no one ever called me anything close to an innovator. They called me different. They called me weird. They called me a couple of other words I can't say on TV.
"Thankfully my mother taught me that being different was a good thing. That being different meant that you could actually make a difference. So, tonight I want to thank my mom.
"If you're a young person, like I used to be, and you're at home watching and you're being called weird, or you're being called different, or whatever the hell you're being called, I'm here tonight to tell you, your critics do not count. Their words will fade. You won't.
Stay foolish, stay hungry. Dream, work hard and who knows, maybe someday, you'll find yourself standing on a stage and maybe someday somebody will be giving you an award calling you an innovator."
The 'SexyBack' singer concluded his speech with two "inspiring" quotes from late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and former US President Theodore Roosevelt.
