Katy Perry to sing with Missy Elliot at Super Bowl

Katy Perry will be joined by Missy Elliot for her Super Bowl performance.

The 30-year-old pop star will reportedly duet with the rapper during her half-time show at the showpiece NFL game on Sunday (01.02.15) between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.

The New York Daily News newspaper is reporting that Katy will be joined by Elliott for at least one segment of the concert.

The 43-year-old hip-hop legend featured on a remix of Katy's single 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' and rumours are rife that is the track she'll be guesting on.

Katy has already confirmed that rock guitarist Lenny Kravitz will be joining her on stage and she has hinted at Missy's appearance only saying it the gig will be a ''female fun night''.

Speaking at a press conference for the Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX half-time show at the Phoenix Convention Center, she said: ''It's going to be wild out there. I'm creating three or four different worlds ... I have to keep some surprises for Sunday but I'm very, very excited about this guest. I thought long and hard about it. People are not going to expect it.

''It's a throwback of sorts that definitely needed some shine. All I can say is that it will be female fun night but when this person enters the stage faces will melt. There will be some faces melted when she steps on the stage.''
