Evan Dando, best known for fronting the alternative rock band The Lemonheads, will be performing Sunday May 11th at Fernando's Pub in Kelowna.
Dando formed The Lemonheads with two high school buddies in late winter '86, in their senior year at Boston's tiny Commonwealth School. A few months later, they spawned what is now one of the most sought-after punk relics of the 80s, the indie EP Laughing All the Way to the Cleaners. Boston-based Taang! Records immediately picked up on The Lemonheads, with three college radio pleasers to follow.
He is currently embarked on a solo career and touring North America.
Sara Johnston of the band Bran Van 3000 will be the opening act for Dando.
Sunday, May 11th at 9:00pm
Tickets $15 at the door.
