Chloe Moretz never chosen for school play

Chloe Moretz was never chosen to be in a school play.

The 17-year-old actress - who shot to fame at the age of just six - admits, despite her movie success, she was never picked to be in her school's theatre production.

Chloe - who is currently starring in the off-Broadway play 'The Library' - told Jimmy Fallon on 'The Tonight Show' on Monday (04.07.14): "It's my first time on stage or anything I didn't do school plays or anything."

Chloe has been forced to move to New York City for the play, which runs until April 27, and she admits she's still trying to get used to her new surroundings.

She explained: "I'm living in the city just like I was six years old. I kind of have my neighborhood haunts now, [but] I don't know uptown at all, but I'm pretty good with downtown now. I'm still terrified of the subway.

"The time machine of it all really makes me afraid. It's quick, but I wouldn't take it alone."

However, the 'Carrie' star insists her mother Teri is very protective over her and can even track where she is.

Chloe said: "My mom's pretty strict with that. [She prefers Uber as] she has my under account on her phone so she can track where I am and she can see where I'm picked up and dropped off."
