Prince Harry celebrated completing his South Pole trek by drinking champagne from a prosthetic limb.
The British royal finished the gruelling 208-mile journey across some of the hardest terrain on earth in Antarctica, accompanied by disabled servicemen to raise money for the Walking With the Wounded charity in December, and they decided to mark the end of their feat by drinking from double amputee team member Duncan Slater's false legs.
Actor Dominic West - who joined the Canadian-Australian team for the trek - said of the antics when they reached the pole: "Most of us, Harry included, just went on a two-day bender with the Icelandic truck drivers who had brought some lethal home brew with them.
"There was a lot of liqueur drunk. We all drank champagne out of Duncan's favourite prosthetic legs."
Dominic added some of the bravest team members even took their clothes off in the sub-zero temperatures to celebrate, saying: "When we got to the Pole a couple of the guys stripped naked and ran round the Pole. It was a sunny day with no wind so it was safe to do that."
Harry - a captain in the British Army, was set to lead the British team, until the trek was changed to include all participants as one group because of adverse weather conditions - also managed to keep spirits high with his "eye-wateringly rude" jokes and his incredible toilet building abilities.
Dominic added: "He seemed to specialise in building the latrines and built these incredibly elaborate ones. He did one with castellated sides and a flagpole, a loo roll holder, they were just fabulous. I would sit on the latrine, looking at the beautiful view, thinking 'this is a royal flush, in every way.' "
Meanwhile Duncan praised the Prince for the attention he paid to each of team.
He said: "He would spend time with each team member. He would make sure he mixed with everyone."
