Ke$ha 'almost died' after starvation

Ke$ha's mother claims her daughter "almost died" after starving herself.

The 'Timber' hitmaker sought professional help after admitting she was suffering with anorexia and bulimia, but her mum Pebe Sebert insists it's a "miracle" she's still alive.

Speaking to People magazine, she said: "[The doctors] told me her blood pressure and sodium were so low they'd never seen that, except with someone who'd had a heart attack or stroke. They said it was a miracle she hadn't dropped dead on-stage."

The 26-year-old singer checked herself into the Timberline Knolls centre near Chicago on January 3 and is currently receiving treatment for an eating disorder.

Pebe - who checked herself into the same facility for Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) earlier this week - claims Ke$ha's former manager David Sonnenberg and her producer Lukasz Gottwald are blame for her daughter's negative attitude towards food.

She said: "'I've watched my beautiful, self-confident, brilliant daughter be berated and ridiculed for her looks and weight - to the point that she almost died."

Pebe claims David screamed at the blonde beauty during a conference call in the early stages of her career to slim down.

Although the 57-year-old singer-songwriter believes it was Lukasz that did the most damage to Ke$ha's self-esteem.

She said: "After she lost weight...he said, 'Thank God you finally got rid of all that weight! We've all been talking about it!'."

Lukasz has since denied the allegations and insists he will be supportive of the troubled star while she battles the condition.
