CRIME: BREAK AND ENTER

DATE: December 29, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-71125

A pharmacy on the 3500 block of Elliott Road in West Kelowna was entered on December 29, 2012 at approximately 6:30 AM. Footprints indicate a lone male entered the building by compromising the lock tumblers on the front doors. He ransacked the business and stole an amount of cash and unknown quantities of narcotics, concentrating on methadone and oxycodone.

CRIME: ARSON

DATE: December 24, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-70493

West Kelowna Fire Department called the RCMP for assistance at a suspicious fire in progress at an unoccupied trailer in a complex at 2035 Boucherie Road. Neighbors heard a loud explosion at the rear of the unit and then saw the fire flare. The trailer was in the process of renovations and currently listed for sale. Fire investigators have identified areas around a wood shed that had accelerant deposited and have deemed the fire “arson”.
