CRIME: BREAK AND ENTERS - Commercial

DATE: December 8 and 9, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-67638, 2012-67668, 2012-67788

There were several similar break and enters that occurred during the week-end of December 8/9 in West Kelowna. An initial report for the first was a report of an accident at 1979 Old Okanagan Highway. It was learned that this actually began as a break and enter at Sears, where four Samsung 39” TVs and two Dyson vacuums were taken. The older black pickup truck involved in the theft hit a sign as they exited the scene. The tailgate of the Chevrolet was left behind, and RCMP would like help identifying the occupant(s) of this truck. The next theft was at a motorcycle accessory store located at 2330 Highway 97 S at 3:45 AM. The thief backed a truck into the window and stole “Sons of Anarchy” clothing items. Witnesses viewed a lone man wearing dark clothing and a light ball cap driving a newer lowered black crew cab truck with fancy rims and a loud exhaust. Just after midnight on December 9 the Tac Mobility Store on Dobbin Road had its front door smashed in by a vehicle and a safe containing 30-40 smart phones was taken. Police believe the vehicles involved may have been stolen.
