CRIME: THEFT OF QUAD

DATE: October 15, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-57988

Thieves stole a quad from a driveway of a home on the 10,600 block of Bonnie Road in Lake Country in the early morning hours of October 15, 2012. The quad, a dark green 2009 Polaris 440 Sportsman, has a 1.5 ton winch with a fluorescent orange strap mounted on the front. The front rack has been modified with an angled 3-gun gun rack. The rear platform was also modified to include 2 raised hand-holds and a raised bar across the back. The VIN number is 4XALH46A198613346.

CRIME: ATTEMPTED THEFT OF DIRTBIKES

DATE: October 3, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-55886

Lake Country RCMP were called to a theft in progress on the 10,000 block of Teresa Road around 10:00 PM on October 3, 2012. Witnesses viewed two dirt bikes being stolen from a backyard. The two male suspects walked the dirt bikes to the south end of Sherman Drive past the pavement and down the gravel road leading to a gravel pit. The witness confronted the suspects who ran down the embankment, leaving the dirt bikes behind. The suspects were in the process of loading one of the bikes into an un-plated brown 1985 Ford pickup truck.
