CRIME: ROBBERY

DATE: September 29, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-55073

West Kelowna RCMP responded to a robbery at the Petro Canada gas station located at 1721 Ross Road at 9:30 on Saturday, September 29. A masked man entered the store and used a 9” kitchen knife with a yellow handle to threaten the clerk into handing over money. The man left on foot southbound toward Riley’s pub. Police dog services were called but were unable to pick up his track. The man is described as a possible native male, approximately 5’9” tall, heavier build and wearing a black hoodie with red piping, shorts, white skater shoes and a ski mask.

CRIME: THEFT OF STORAGE CONTAINERS

DATE: September 28, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-54706

West Kelowna RCMP were called on September 28, 2012 regarding two storage units that were stolen from the Barona Beach Resort on Pritchard Drive. The company was called by a male who was allegedly out of town working and could not give payment information over the phone but needed the units for a move. The units were delivered to the parking lot of the Resort on September 14 and were noticed as missing on September 17. The two units are worth approximately $8600. The units are similar to the photo shown and have serial numbers FBXU140374.1 and FBXU143361.7.
