CRIME: Attempted Arson

DATE: Sept 25th 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-53988

On September 25, 2012 at 2:30 AM, the Kelowna RCMP received a report of an attempted arson to the Mediterranean Market, located at 1078 Lawrence Avenue. The two male suspects were interrupted and observed fleeing in a large, black, newer-model, GMC 3500 diesel pickup truck with the following options/accessories attached:

  • Larger (22-24") after-market tires on silver rims;
  • Allison Dynamic decal on side of truck;
  • Silver chrome or brushed aluminum “head ache” rack in box of truck with 6 welded vertical (on a 15-20 degree angle) rods;
  • In the middle of the “headache rack” there was an opening to the rear window. Affixed to the window was a “Kreator” decal (see attached);
  • Two LED amber clearance/marker lamps were attached to the top of the headache rack facing backwards.

CRIME: Stolen Truck and Welder

DATE: Sept 20th 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-52805

On September 20, 2012 police received a report of a stolen truck and welder from the 4000 block of Westridge Drive. The truck is a white 2002 Dodge Ram, diesel engine, licence number CB7690. There was a Lincoln Welding Machine in the box of the truck Ser # C1060300274.
