CRIME: THEFT OF SCOOTER

DATE: September 10, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-50772

A 13-year-old boy is walking after two thugs stole his scooter around 6:00 PM on Monday, September 11. The boy was jumped from behind by two older boys on the 900 block of Cactus Road in Rutland. They pushed him, causing him to fall, and took off with the stolen scooter. Both suspects are approximately 16 years of age; the first was between 5’5”-5’8” tall with short brown hair and wearing a black shirt with a skull symbol and grey pants. The second suspect was the same height, darker skin and wearing a yellow shirt and brown shorts. The scooter is white with green and brown tires and pink handlebars.

CRIME: THEFT OF TRUCK

DATE: August 15, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-44329

Ford F Series trucks are the # 1 stolen vehicle in British Columbia. Kelowna area residents have had 87 of these trucks stolen since January 1, 2012. On August 15, 2012, another Ford F350 was taken from a home on the 1300 block of Shaunna Road in Black Mountain. The truck was a white 2000 Ford F350 with grey rocker panels and a hard mounted VHF radio inside. It had ½ tank of fuel and all keys accounted for. The truck may have some rear end damage as the suspects drove over an electrical box when backing out of the driveway. The F350 bore BC plate # EA9568 and the VIN # was 1FTSX31F3YEC92525.
