CRIME: STOLEN TRUCK
DATE: April 14, 2012

At 8:00 AM on April 14, 2012, the owner of a green 1996 Dodge truck (BC Plate # 1512KG) reported it stolen. The truck, holding a blue 55 gallon drum, was taken from the 3000 block of Hill Road in Lake Country. It had been locked and the owner had possession of all keys. It was later recovered as an abandoned vehicle from an open field near Duck Lake between Jim Bailey Road and Highway 97, just north of the Commonwealth Road Trailer Park. The truck was left parked on top of a large dirt pile and had been used to tear around the open dirt field. The vehicle was dirty inside and out, the ignition was damaged, a window was smashed out and a piece of wire fencing was wrapped around the drive shaft. The blue drum was found lying in the field.

CRIME: THEFT OF BOAT

Lake Country RCMP were called with the report of a stolen boat on April 13, 2012 from the 3000 block of Clement Road. The owners of the boat had used it the evening of April 12 to go fishing and had left it tied to their dock upon return. When they discovered it missing the next morning they noticed that the rope had been cut. The boat is an older 12 foot grey fibreglass boat with a missing middle bench. It held about $500 worth of fishing tackle.
