CRIME: BREAK AND ENTER

DATE: August 16, 2011

RCMP FILE: 2011-40211

Thieves broke into a locked shed located at the Ridgeview Church at 1095 Hollywood Road South on August 16, 2011 and left with a grey 2010 Craftsman riding lawn mower. Three men, approximately 30 years of age, were witnessed loading the lawn mower into the back of a late model black Ford truck. They used a steel trailer to load the lawn mower, but did not take the trailer with them.

CRIME: THEFT FROM VEHICLE

DATE: August 22, 2011

RCMP FILE: 2011-41434

Sometime during the wee hours of August 22, 2011, thieves attempted to steal a green 1996 Ford Escort from the 600 block of Hollydell Road. The driver’s door was damaged and the ignition was tampered with. They did not get away with the car, however stole a unique 2009 Martin Firecat crossbow from the trunk. The crossbow has a mossy oak pattern, a Black Gold Rush scope attached with green optic. The scope case is white but changes to purple in the sunlight. The crossbow has been altered for a left-handed person. Also stolen with the crossbow were a black rangefinder and arrows.
