CRIME: Attempt Robbery

DATE: 2011-07-02

RCMP FILE: 2011-30333

Kelowna RCMP are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred in the 1600 block of Pandosy St on the 2nd July 2011. The victim had just withdrawn some cash from the TD Bank Machine when he was approached from behind by a male who said he had a knife and wanted his money. The victim managed to get away and jumped into a nearby vehicle. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, slight tan, approximately 40 years of age, long black hair, average to slender build, wearing a blue sweat shirt and black pants. The suspect was riding a blue bike.

CRIME: Robbery with Violence

DATE: 2011-06-30

RCMP FILE: 2011-29788

On June 30th at around 4:30 p.m., an 11 year old boy was robbed of his black BMX bike by two older youths in Rutland.
The victim was riding on a pathway, between Gerstmar and Hwy 33, when he was accosted by the two males, believed to be 14 years of age. One of the suspects attempted to assault the victim, while the second one grabbed the
boy's bike and the two suspects rode away.

One of the youth is described as being Caucasian with blonde shaved hair and has a freckled complexion. He is about 5'4" tall with a stocky build.  He was wearing a grey tee shirt and black sweatpants. He was in possession of a child's purple colored bicycle. No description for the second suspect who took the victim's black BMX bike that has white rims and has stickers on the frame.
