A construction site near Lake Okanagan Resort is missing a plate tamper; stolen sometime between April 6 and 8, 2011. The tamper is a 2008 LG 500 model, weighing approximately 1000 pounds. The words “Vic Van Isle Construction” are etched on it, and the serial number is 35006065.

CRIME: THEFT OF VEHICLE

A blue1993 GMC Suburban (BC plate # 609GXV) was stolen from the Best Western Hotel on Carrington Road in West Kelowna sometime after 9:30 PM on Saturday, April 9. Argo Road Maintenance crews working in Lake Country reported the same vehicle engulfed in flames and burning in Duck Lake around 2 AM. Lake Country Fire crews attended and extinguished the fire. RCMP members believe that the Suburban was purposely set on fire and driven into the lake. Tire tracks from another vehicle indicate that there was a waiting vehicle that left at a high rate of speed.
