CRIME: THEFT OF FORKLIFT

Lake Country RCMP were informed of a theft that took place sometime between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM on February 24, 2011. Thieves used a hammer to break a lock on a workshop door located on the 13,000 block of Lake Pine Road in Lake Country. They entered the building and likely dragged the small riding-type forklift out and loaded it onto a trailer in the yard.

CRIME: ATTEMPTED ARSON

An attempt at mischief could have turned into disaster on the 11,000 block of Hare Road in Lake Country on February 28, 2011. The residents noticed motion lights were activated and went outside to investigate. They saw 2 figures dressed in black leaving northbound, detected the smell of smoke and found that a bag of garbage sitting next to the back door had been set on fire. The two suspects may have been kids from the area.
