CRIME: THEFT FROM VEHICLE/FRAUD

The Telemark Ski Area on Glenrosa Road was targeted once again by thieves on January 3, 2011. The suspects broke into a 2003 Honda Element while the owners were skiing and stole several credit cards and some identification. The credit cards were then used at several local merchants including London Drugs, Save-On Foods, SuperStore and Superstore Gas Bar. Please review the photo - if you recognize this female please call Crime Stoppers or the RCMP. The RCMP would like to remind the public not to leave their wallets in vehicles, no matter which mountain they are at.

CRIME: BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT

Residents on the 2000 block of Lakeview Road in West Kelowna did not have a happy New Year’s. They returned home on December 31 at 10:00 PM to find that their house had been broken into since they had left at 5:30 PM. The thieves broke the deadbolt and pried the front door open. They ransacked the garage, living room, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms, leaving extensive damage. They made off with jewellery, two gold 1976 Olympic coins, a laptop computer and an Xbox.
