CRIME: THEFTS OF VEHICLES
Date: Various
RCMP FILE: 2008-24047

Lake Country RCMP members have noticed an increase in the number of thefts involving Ford F350 trucks. In a recent case, a witness spotted a male suspect driving a red F350 who stopped to siphon gas from another vehicle.  The plates on the red truck were registered to a grey F350. When officers went to the home where the grey truck was registered, they saw it sitting in the owner's driveway but with plates belonging to a red F350 stolen from Kelowna. This is one incident of many involving stolen F350s in Lake Country. Owners of these trucks are reminded to install an immobilizer which will prevent the truck from being stolen.

You can help catch these suspects and qualify for a reward by calling Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit our website at www.crimestoppers.net.
