Unsolved crimes Kelowna

CRIME: ASSAULT
DATE: 2008-02-22
RCMP FILE: 2008-8139

Kelowna, BC: On 2008-02-22 at 2:10 a.m., there was a minor confrontation
between two males just outside of Gotcha’s Nite Club on Leon Street,
Kelowna B.C., which resulted in the stabbing of a Kelowna man.

The altercation between the two males resulted in the victim receiving a
severe slash wound to the throat which required immediate medical attention
at Kelowna General Hospital. The victim had his injury treated and he was
released From hospital the following evening on 2008-02-23. 

Video of the ‘male person of interest’ was captured outside Gotcha’s Nite Club showing his interaction with the victim. The ‘male person of interest’ seen in the attached photos was involved in the altercation with the male victim, however the circumstances remain unclear.  Police are now soliciting the public’s help in trying to identify and locate this ‘male person of interest’ to further the investigation. DESCRIPTION OF MALE PERSON OF INTEREST: 5'10", late 20's early 30's,
short brown hair - wavy on the top, has a distinctive jaw line, wearing
a black jacket and blue jeans.  Police have reason to believe that this
individual may be in the Lower Mainland.
