CRIME: BREAK & ENTER

RCMP FILE: 2007-27281


On the first day of June, at approximately 9:20, the RCMP received a call regarding a break & enter in progress in the 2000 block of Ethel Street. Suspects used a crowbar and entered the residence by prying open the back door. The resident returned home just in time and scared off the suspect. The suspect is described as a male on a bike, unshaven, in his 30’s with a white shirt, black pants and a backpack. There was minor damage to the rear patio door.

RCMP FILE: 2007-27032


On May 31st at approximately 4:20 a.m., a Kelowna RCMP officer observed smoke and flames coming from St. Michaels Church in the 600 block of Sutherland Avenue. The fire department was called immediately, and as a result, there was only minor damage to the building. Evidence at the scene indicates that an accelerant was used.
