CRIME:           THEFT OF VAN

DATE:             May 13, 2019

RCMP FILE:   2019-26459

A woman left her vehicle running and jumped out for a quick minute on Main Street in West Kelowna just before 7:00 a.m. on May 13th.  She then watched as a male hopped in her van and drove south, taking with him her purse and cell phone.   The male is described as 20-25 years of age, 5’8” tall, slim, wearing a white ball cap and white running shoes.  On May 15th the van’s plates were recovered in Summerland after being switched with plates belonging to a similar van.  Look for a 2006 red Dodge Caravan with VIN 1D4GP25R06B668460 and possibly bearing BC plate number CG290N.

CRIME:            ATTEMPTED BREAK AND ENTER

The owner of an automotive shop located on the 2000 block of Louie Drive in West Kelowna contacted RCMP after viewing an attempted break in on surveillance footage the morning of May 13th, 2019.  A male wearing a dark hoodie, gloves and a backpack appears on camera trying to gain entry by taking a pry bar to the door.
