CRIME:          RCMP SEARCH FOR WITNESS

DATE:             April 29, 2019

RCMP FILE:   2019-23391

A 79-year old West Kelowna woman was rushed to hospital at 8:34 p.m. on April 29th after being discovered seriously injured in the bush in the Bear Lake Forest Service Road area off Westside Road. 

Police have identified, arrested and charged 60-year old West Kelowna resident Kevin Lee Barrett with attempted murder.  They believe Barrett drove the woman to the remote area in her grey 2005 Nissan X-Trail with BC plate number FM590J from her residence in the Westview Village Mobile Home Park.

Police believe that a concerned passerby encountered the pair along the way and would like to speak with that person.  If you can help with this case, please contact West Kelowna RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

CRIME:            THEFT OF ELECTRIC SCOOTER

Sometime during the early hours of April 18, 2019 someone entered a property on the 2500 block of Reece Road in West Kelowna and stole a royal blue 2007 Challenger electric scooter from the front yard.  The scooter has a round fiberglass cargo carrier attached to the back and has serial number XY48DW06100509.
