CRIME: ATTEMPTED THEFT OF WINE BARRELS

An employee of Quails Gate Winery located on Boucherie Road in West Kelowna contacted the RCMP on October 9th when staff observed a blue Mazda B4000 truck pull into the shipping/receiving area after hours and the employee suspected wine barrels were the target. The truck’s driver was spooked and soon left. Employees believe this is the same truck that was caught on video earlier last year stealing 8 wine barrels (valued at $800 each). CRIME: THEFTS FROM VEHICLES

West Kelowna RCMP were contacted on the morning of Sunday, October 7th, by a man who reported that his 2002 silver GM Sierra truck window had been smashed overnight while parked at 3880 Brown Road in West Kelowna. A maple wood Yamaha acoustic guitar, a silver Toshiba laptop and an Under Armour bag full of clothes had been stolen. While investigating the incident, RCMP noted another truck with a smashed window. Once the owner of the 2004 brown Dodge pickup was contacted it was determined that a compound bow and a cordless drill had been stolen. No details are available on the stolen items at this time.
