CRIME:           GROCERY SHOPLIFTER

DATE:             October 2, 2018

RCMP FILE:   2018-61648

Lake Country RCMP were called to the IGA Marketplace located on Main Street just after 12:30 p.m. on October 2nd when a woman dodged out of the store with two bags of groceries.  The woman went through the checkout and when the cashier was bagging her 3rd bag of goods the suspect grabbed the first two bags and ran out the door to a newer four door sedan that was parked near one of the exit doors.   She jumped into the driver’s seat and headed south.  The suspect is in her late twenties, approximately 5’3” tall and was wearing a sweater and a hat.  She is described as having a slim build, blonde over black hair and bad teeth.

CRIME:           BREAK AND ENTER AT CONSTRUCTION SITE

DATE:             October 1, 2018

RCMP FILE:   2018-61371

A trailer parked at a construction site on the 12,000 block of Lake Hill Drive in Lake Country was broken into between the evening of September 30th and early the next morning.  The lock on the trailer had been cut and between $10,000 and $15,000 worth of tools had been taken. Most of the tools are labelled with “JBO” in permanent marker.  Some of the tools taken include: 

  • DeWalt hammer drill (set with impact drill) Model BDDCK296M2 s/n 301807
  • DeWalt framing nailer Model DCN690M1
  • Bosch corded hammer drill Model RBRH540M s/n 712056828
  • Bostitch hanging nailer/metal connector  (air) MCN150
  • Fein oscillating corded multi-tool Model FMM250QSEL
