CRIME:           VEHICLE BREAK AND ENTER

DATE:             May 19 to June 1, 2018

RCMP FILE:    2018-26567

A neighborhood in the Toovey Heights area of Kelowna has had several instances of vehicle break and enters in the recent past.  On May 19th a car was entered on the 1400 block of Bentien Road and a purse containing bank and credit cards and other ID was taken.  One of the cards was used around 1:28 a.m. at a nearby convenience store, but video only shows a Caucasian male wearing a baseball cap tapping to pay and leaving quickly.  Another vehicle at the same address had the lock punched but nothing stolen.  Nearby on Toovey Road a Chevy Tahoe was entered at about 1:45 (an alarm sounded).  The suspect punched the driver’s side door and took a Uniden DC2  Iwitness dash camera.  On June 1st a suspect punched out a window on the same GMC pickup that was targeted on May 19th on Bentien Road and took a Whistler model Z-19R/Z23R  Radar Detector and an Extreme dashboard cam.

This suspect was caught on video going through vehicles in the area.
