CRIME:           THEFT OF WELDING TRUCK

DATE:             April 16, 2018

RCMP FILE:   2018-19419           

An employee from Gorman Bros. Lumber contacted West Kelowna RCMP on the morning of April 16th to report the theft of one of the company welding trucks from the 3900 block of Dunfield Road.  In its place, the thieves had abandoned a truck they had stolen earlier in Kelowna, a white Ford F250 pump truck with a punched window and ignition.  The stolen vehicle is a grey 1997 Dodge flat deck with a large green “G” on the doors; with VIN 1B6MC36W4VJ619700 and BC plate number JW4437.  The truck was carrying a blue $14,000 portable Miller diesel welder with a 2” steel frame.

CRIME:           THEFT OF TOOLS FROM TRAILER

DATE:             April 16, 2018

RCMP FILE:    2018-19421

A construction trailer parked in a Shannon Lake area under development was broken into overnight between April 15th and 16th.  The owner arrived to the site on the 2600 block of Paramount Drive just before 8:00 a.m. to find that approximately $15,000 in tools were missing.  Some of the items stolen from the extensive list are:  Hitachi 1-3” air coil nail gun, Max 2-3” air coil nail gun, a Honda ultra-quiet 2000i generator, a Makita hammer drill with all attachments, a Milwaukee cordless set (complete with 3 batteries, 2 chargers, circular saw, drill, impact driver), a Hilti gun, DeWalt drills, impact drivers, sawzalls, jigsaws, hammer drills and two ladders.
