CRIME:          THEFT FROM BOAT DEALERSHIP

DATE:            February 6, 2018

RCMP FILE:  2018-6794

Sometime on February 4th or 5th 2017, a thief entered the locked yard of a marine dealership located on Petrie Road in Lake Country.  Staff discovered two boats had been entered and stereo and amp equipment were missing.  Footprints in the snow led to a hole in the fence.   On February 7th, staff found the thieves had returned to finish the job of taking the remaining Wetsounds SYN DX-6 DSP amp from the Tige RZX3 boat. Video shows a Caucasian male, wearing all black clothing hop the locked gate at 7:02 p.m. on February 6th and head directly to the corner where the boat was stored.  The culprit cut the wiring harness to remove the amp and attempted to steal the touch screen monitor.  A neighbouring business’ security camera caught a light brown 4-door car picking up the suspect at the main gate about 30 minutes after dropping him off.
