Kelowna RCMP were contacted on January 27th by a representative from a condo building located on the 100 block of Barber Road. A suspect forced his way into the building and roamed the parkade before breaking into a secure bicycle storage room. He left with a bicycle (details unknown) and abandoned the bike he had arrived with at the front of the building. A loss prevention officer from a grocery store located on the 300 block of Highway 33 West in Kelowna snapped these pictures of a male suspected of stealing some groceries. The officer confronted the male outside after watching him conceal the items and leave the store. The male, described as being a 5’10” tall Caucasian in his mid-20’s with short brown hair, ran away with the Loss Prevention Officer on his tails. At one point the male stopped and pushed him so that he could get away. The officer was unharmed. If you recognize this person of interest please contact Crime Stoppers.
